My Coming Out…Publicly
As most of you know, I am a single mother “by choice”. In my highlights I have a whole story that basically explains that I am a single parent, I used donor sperm, and conceived my son through IVF. What most of you may not know is that I am also a gay mom. Honestly, I just never felt it was anyone’s business that I needed to share that kind of information. *I don’t recall one person letting me know they were straight when I created my page, so it just never seemed like something I needed to share.*
Part of me is scared that people will judge me. I love all my followers and I’d hate to see some of these great people I’ve met along the way leave bc they can’t see beyond something so shallow, and so… none of anyone’s business. At the same time, I created this page as safe place for all parents/guardians to come, share a laugh, shed some tears, rip our hair out, and realize that we are all so different, and yet, so the same. If sharing my truth means losing some followers, then you were never part of The Mommy Confessions Tribe to begin with and don’t belong here anyway.
